Man Walks After Four Years

September 21, 2008

As with any surgery there are risks, but the success stories far outweigh the failures and one such story is of 64-year-old Emmaneul Olisakwe. Emmanuel was born with a knocked knee deformity in his left leg, which eventually graduated into a bowleg condition in his right leg.

A carefully planned surgical approach by Dr. Rajani ensured that a two-stage bilateral knee replacement was successfully performed on him. The surgery at Prince Aly Khan Hospital took over 4 days to complete, but it was definitely worth the effort.
